Fallen
Basic Storyline:
Riddle:
"Why is there a blank between Lyons and Spekowski?"
Detective John Hobbs has a problem. A serial killer who spoke to him in a dead language, Aramaic, has been put to death. Now, another person has died the same way. Hobbs believes this new killer is a "copycat," but each time a murder happens the next person who is murdered is the person under suspicion, and they are murdered the same way. When he is told about the possibility that a demon may be to blame, a demon that travels by touch, he is skeptical. However, as the riddle becomes clear, Hobbs comes face to face with the stark truth that not all things we cannot see are false, and not everything we see is real.
Review:
Awsome movie. Stars Denzel Washington, John Goodman, and Donald Sutherland. It is a movie that I watch several times per year and highly recommend. The storyline is very original and the cast works very well together.
Upside: Storyline Downside: Needed a better femme fatale. Although you could feel some sexual tension between her and Hobbs, another person should have been chosen. I have no suggestion as the role would be difficult to fill as you need someone who can portray sexy, smart, religious and conservative. (Difficult for anyone to fill those shoes.) Perhaps Kate Blanchett would have been able to pull that one off. Anyway, AWSOME movie and I recommend that one VERY highly! SCORE 9 out of 10
