Cinema Voyage - Michael Pearson

This blog is PRIMARILY about movies. Some dvd and some that are still in the theater. Also, links are provided on some movies if you decide you want to purchase it. Also, I write and read quite a bit. So, you may, from time to time see a book review here from an up-and-coming author or an interview with one. If you have a book that you have written, please don't hesitate to contact me if you want an unbiased opinion. I would be happy to read and review what you've written. We should value our creative people more.

Favourite Books to feature films!! Part 1

Some of our favourite literary works are being turned in to major Hollywood productions. Slated for release in 2008 and 2009, these are a few movies to look out for!

1. Twilight - Written by Stephanie Meyer
Twilight tells the story of Isabella (Bella) Swan who moves to Forks, Washington. She finds herself attracted to the mysterious Edward Cullen, later making the startling discovery that Edward is in fact a vampire. Dating Edward does have its drawbacks and Bella finds her life in danger when a vampire coven sweeps into town.

Twilight spawned two other successful continuations New Moon, Eclipse and the soon to be released and final Novel in the series Breaking Dawn.

The movie will star Kristen Stewart (In the land of women, Into the Wild) as Bella Swan, Robert Pattinson (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) as Vampire heartthrob Edward Cullen, and directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Thirteen).
Twilight is currently scheduled for a December 12, 2008 release

2. The Time Travellers Wife – Written by Audrey Niffenegger
An unusual love story that centers on Henry De Tamble, a man with a genetic disorder that causes him to involuntarily time travel. He first meets Clare when she is six years old and Henry 36 or so. He visits her many times over the years, at different ages, while she is growing up. They then meet in 1991, after many years apart Clare is 20 and real time Henry is 28. They marry, and both come to grips with Henry’s rare disorder, what follows is a touching, mesmerizing love story.

The movie will star Eric Bana (Munich, Troy) as time travelling Henry De Tamble and Rachel McAdams (Mean Girls, The Notebook) as Clare Abshire and directed by Robert Schwentke (Flightplan).
Was originally scheduled for a June 6 release, but has been pushed back to a November 2008 release.

Hmmm...maybe I should write a book as well. Maybe, they will make a movie out of it staring Brat Pitt and Anglina Jolin

By the way Bianca, you still haven't tell me whether that pretty girl in your posting pic is you.

Is it?
