Favourite Two Songs of the Week!
June 9th 2008 02:33
So here I am on this public holiday telling you all about my two fav songs this week!
* Quote Unquote - Mr Bungle from Mr Bungles self titled album.
Probably my favourite Mr Bungle song, if your planning to have a halloween party this year, this would be the song to play. Released in 1991, the song features many genre shifts, typical of Mr Bungle. The song has an eerie, circus like sound.
Best part(s) - .54 - 1.46, 2.18 - 2.44 where they sample a line from the opening song of Grease (the song was originally called, Travolta, but had to be changed for legal reasons.)
* Somebody to Love - Jefferson Airplane from the album Surrealistic Pillow.
Originally recorded by 'The Great Society' and then by psychedelic rock band Jefferson Airplane. Released in 1967, 'Somebody to Love' encapsulates the 60's sound to a tee, with Grace Slick providing her forceful vocal talents (possessing a powerful contralto voice).
Best Part - Whole song!
