Niagara Falls

With the recent wedding filmed in Niagara Falls for the American based comedy, The Office, it made me wonder what other movies may have been filmed here so I thought I would take a trip back in time to investigate.
1941 - 49th Parallel
Starring Richard George and Laurence Olivier. A WW2 U-boat crew is stranded in northern Canada. To avoid internment, they must make their way to the border and get into the still-neutral USA.
1953 - Niagara
Starring Marilyn Monroe and Joseph Cotton. As two couples are visiting Niagara Falls, tensions between one wife and her husband reach the level of murder.
1979 - Last Embrace
Starring Christopher Walkin and Mandy Patinkin. It begins with an ancient warning. It ends at the edge of Niagara Falls. In between there are 5 murders.
1980 - Superman II
Starring Christopher Reeve and Gene Hackman. Superman agrees to sacrifice his powers to marry Lois, unaware that three Kryptonian criminals he inadvertently released are conquering Earth.
1995 - Canadian Bacon
Starring John Candy and Alan Alda. The U.S. President, low in the opinion polls, gets talked into raising his popularity by trying to start a cold war against Canada.
1996 - The Long Kiss Goodnight
Starring Geena Davis. A women suffering from amnesia begins to recover her memories after trouble from her past finds her again.
1997 - Niagara, Niagara
Starring Robin Tunney. An outsider and a young woman plagued by Tourette's syndrome meet and together journey to Canada.
2000 - The Whole Nine Yards
Starring Bruce Willis and Matthew Perry. Nick is a struggling dentist in Canada. A new neighbor moves in, and he discovers that it is Jimmy "The Tulip" Teduski.
2001 - Dead By Monday
Starring Helen Baxendale and Tim Dutton. Dead by Monday is a darkly comic tale of love and death... but not necessarily in that order.
2001 - Bubble Boy
Starring Jake Gyllenhaal. A comedy about a young man who was born without an immune system and has lived his life within a plastic bubble in his bedroom.

Starring Al Pacino and Colin Farrell. A brilliant young CIA trainee is asked by his mentor to help find a mole in the Agency.
2003 - Bruce Almighty
Starring Jim Carrey and Jennifer Aniston. A guy who complains about God too often is given almighty powers to teach him how difficult it is to run the world.
2006 - Niagara Motel
Starring Craig Ferguson and Anna Friel. In Niagara Motel, a group of struggling individuals cross paths at a low-rent motel in the tourist a of Niagara Falls.
2007 - I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry
Starring Adam Sandler and Kevin James. Two straight, single Brooklyn firefighters pretend to be a gay couple in order to receive domestic partner benefits.
2008 - The Love Guru
Starring Mike Myers and Jessica Alba. MeccPitka an American raised outside of his country by gurus, returns to the States in order to break into the self-help business.
2009 - Camille
Starring Sienna Miller and James Franco. A twisted honeymoon adventure about a young couple on their way to Niagara Falls.
