Basic Storyline:
Post-apocalyptic America... Eli travels west guarding a precious book with his life that can determine the fate of a re-forming world. In the right hands, the world could be re-born with a sense of peace and well being. In the wrong hands, it is a tool of destruction for a dictator. His quest pushes him into conflict with a warlord (Gary Oldman) who wants the book. "We walk by faith, not by sight," quotes Eli. This one deep phrase, while watching the movie should be kept in the mind of the viewer. It's true meaning will drop the jaw with an unexpected conclusion.
Review:
Great movie. Very entertaining with a good plot twist at the end. Acting could have been a little better, definitely not Denzel's BEST work, but believable. Gary Oldman played his character well. Plot twist in the ending was unexpected and brings a nod and a smile when it is discovered.
SCORE 10 out of 10
