Cinema Voyage - Michael Pearson

 
This blog is PRIMARILY about movies. Some dvd and some that are still in the theater. Also, links are provided on some movies if you decide you want to purchase it. Also, I write and read quite a bit. So, you may, from time to time see a book review here from an up-and-coming author or an interview with one. Top 10 Most Beautiful Male Actors

Ladies and gentleman swoon away, I’m counting down my personal list of beautiful male actors.

Believe me this was no easy feat, there are just too many good-looking men floating around Hollywood.

In no particular order:

Marlon Brando


Named the fourth greatest male star of all time. Best performance: ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’.


Montgomery Cliff


Best performances: ‘A Place in the Sun’ and ‘From Here to Eternity’

James Dean


Best performances: ‘Giant’ and ‘Rebel Without a Casue’

Paul Newman


Best performances: ‘Cat On a Hot Tin Roof’ and ‘Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid’


Brad Pitt


Best performance: ‘Legends of the Fall’

Will Estes


Best performance: ‘American Dreams’ (Hardly anyone has heard of him which is a travesty in its self, he is gorgeous)

Emile Hirsch


Best performances: ‘Into the Wild’ and ‘Lords of Dogtown’

Leonardo DiCaprio (old-school)


Best performance: ‘Romeo and Juliet’

James Marsden


Best performances: ‘Disturbing Behaviour’ and ‘Hairspray’

David Boreanaz


Best performance: ‘Buffy the Vampire slayer’ and ‘Angel’

PHEW!!! That was an enjoyable experience!! Reviewing this list I noticed I missed many of my other fav male actors. So I will just have to name them briefly:

Morgan, I agree James Marsden is a wonderful pretty boy, I loved him in Hairspray, what a corny corny.

Some interesting choices,

The sexual attraction thing is totally subjective but I do dig Brando, Clift, Newman and Dean as cool lookin Kats.

Though I don't lean that way, in the modern era its faces like Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell, Benicio Del Toro, James Franco and Daniel Craig that I can appreciate the masculine sensuality.

like JD, I'd have to agree with Brando and Newman. I took my girlfriend and a female friend to see "A Streetcar Named Desire" at the Chauvel Cinema in Sydney, and they both perked up at the sight of the monstrous Stanley, in that fitted T.

Monty Clift is a "beautiful loser". He started it all. Brando, Newman, Dean were influenced greatly by him.

An excellent list of actors which includes some of the greatest from last century as well as the new millenium.

I would have loved to see Jude Law, George Clooney, John Cusack and Paul Walker on the list.
They are sizzling hot and set the screen on fire.

Nobody can get it right. When we are talking about beautiful male actors Alexander Skarsgard possesses the most ethereal beauty of anyone ever. Not only his face is heartbreakingly beautiful, his voice echos through you like a song, and his eyes talk to you in such a haunting way. Anytime there is mention of beautiful men he has to top the list there simply is no one who can even come close to him.

Will Estes (above) looks relatively kind of plain/average.

Don't forget French actor Alain Delon ("Zorro"),
John Erik Hexum (the main actor of
"The Making of a Male Model," and
Jeffrey Hunter (Jesus Christ in "The King of Kings")

David Boreanaz is good-looking, but not in the gorgeous category.

Brad Pitt in his younger days though not any more, Paul Newman, not 'beautiful' but good looking... but all the rest, just NO!! Where is Jensen Ackles, most beautiful man on the planet!!!!!!?? You can't have a list like this without him - and he should be No1.

Matt Bomer, Ian Somerhalder, both very good looking men, but nothing different from a whole lot of actors who have come before and definitely nothing special or different in their acting. DeCaprio, Damon, Wallberg, arn't they all the same guy? They certainly all look alike. I stand by Alex Skarsgard beautiful, talented, unassuming, perfect.

OMG Jason Ackles? I guess I am in the minority when I expect a guy to possess something special to be considered a beautiful male instead of Mr ordinary you could see on any street corner on any given day.
