Cinema Voyage - Michael Pearson

 
This blog is PRIMARILY about movies. Some dvd and some that are still in the theater. Also, links are provided on some movies if you decide you want to purchase it. Also, I write and read quite a bit. So, you may, from time to time see a book review here from an up-and-coming author or an interview with one. If you have a book that you have written, please don't hesitate to contact me if you want an unbiased opinion. I would be happy to read and review what you've written. Two Favourite Songs of the Week!

I thought I would do a weekly post on two of my favourite songs that particular week!

So this week my top two songs are:

1) ‘Into Dust’ by Mazzy Star off the album ‘So Tonight That I Might See’

Hauntingly beautiful from the melodic guitar to Hope Sandoval’s chillingly magical voice. I constantly have this song stuck in my head, leading me to of course learn how to play it on the guitar, if only I could sing!
‘Into Dust’ appeared in ‘The O.C’. ‘Charmed’, House and recently in an episode of ‘Moonlight’.

*Favourite Part: The whole song!




2) ‘All These Things That I Have Done’ by The Killers off the album ‘Hot Fuss’.

My personal favourite Killers song. Catchy, memorable and great to sing-along to.
Recently used in the film ‘Southland Tales’, (which I will be reviewing in the next couple of weeks) Justin Timberlake lip-synchs the song in a crucial part of the storyline.

*Favourite part: 2.30 – 3.20 ‘I got Soul But I’m Not A Soldier’
