Two Favourite Songs of the Week!
May 29th 2008 05:00
This week I've chosen my very favourite Beach Boys song and a great song by Fleetwood Mac.
* Dont Worry Baby - The Beach Boys, off the album Shut Down Volume 2
I am in love with this song, so much so that its virtually the only thing ive listened to for the last week.
The basic plot behind the song is about a teenager who agrees to a challenge to race a rival in order to defend his honor after bragging about his car, and his girlfriend's plea to take her love with him when he races.
I would go as far as saying this is one of my favourite songs from the 1960's.
* Best Part - The whole song, Brian Wilson's voice, the simple guitar chords its a gorgeous song.
* Big Love (Live) - Fleetwood Mac, the original is off the album Tango In the Night.
This song is amazing, Lindsey Buckingham rips it up performing this song live. I much prefer Lindsey Buckingham performing this song solo to the Fleetwood Mac version.
* Best Part - I used to only listen to the first minute, but recently only started listening to the whole song, 1.35 onwards shows what a great voice Buckingham has.

Nice Fleetwood Mac song choice!
Lindsey is an under-rated guitarist. He is really technical, PLUS he sings! That is incredibly difficult. I'm a guitar player. If I sing while I play I either drop the guitar onto someone's head or the lyrics sound like regurgitated ghost howls all of a sudden.
That guy is a talented bastard. God Bless him!

I agree def agree that he is under rated, I also play the guitar and i absolutely have no co-ordination as far as playing and singing, I play the guitar properly i forget what im singing, i sing i forget what im doing with my hands..
anyways thanx for stopping by..
