What to do when your DVD player breaks!
May 18th 2008 07:03
My first reaction would be to curl up in a ball and shamelessly curse technology for breaking my heart.
Yes as you can tell there was a very big loss in my family yesterday when my trusty Teac DVD player died with my ‘American Dreams’ DVD inside. We then spent the rest of the afternoon rushing around for a multi-region, 5.1 surround sound DVD player with no luck.
We finally found one today at Harvey Norman, so there has been some order back in my life, just counting down till my dad gets home to hook it all up…….
So what is there to do instead of sitting on your bum? Get out and about see a movie, pet a Koala, gloat that you beat your brother in a bowling match.

But, I would survive until I got another if needed because I have a wide screen computer and can watch my DVDs there.
Oh and most of the new DVD players will play all regions so your new one will probably be cool. Good luck!
I love your suggestions but I may just adapt and start bowling a koala at my brother... and then gloat
I know, I'm a sick puppy.

It sounds distressing. Glad you have a new player to ease the pain.
Did you do any of your ideas? They were great.

We got a Sony it is multi region, but none of the new dvd players have 5.1 surround sound anymore, they have this new coaxial thingy. So now we have to buy a new surround sound system.
Tracy,
hmmm no, i didnt have time for any of them, ive been in bloody Harvey Norman all weekend looking for dvd players. But in the summer id really like to go canoeing..
thanx for the comments guys
